| Early failure of ovarian function, also known as early menopause syndrome, mainly manifests itself as early suspension of ovarian function. In normal condition, women' ovary generally stop functioning by 45 years old or above, however, patients suffered with this disease appear menopause early in 30 years old and late in 40 years old. Some cases manifests sudden amenorrhea, other case may have menstruation disorder first and then amenorrhea, half of them may have climacteric symptoms such as flush and fever. This is not rarely occurring disease which account for 0.9% of total cases of amenorrhea, and 4%-20% of secondary amenorrhea. Patients suffered with this disease manifest worse development or delay of secondary sex characteristic during adolescence, or indistinct secondary sex characteristic, and may appear atrophy of reproductive organs after growing up which causes sterility. |
